Camper workshop 2010
Camper invited us to create an exercise for the designers in their 2010 workshop. The workshop was developed in two parallel projects.
The first was aimed to create a common ground between shoes and ceramics through the analysis of the footprint. Each designer had to make their own personal shoe sole using natural elements from their surroundings and then use these soles to walk on top of a ceramic mural in order to register their sole’s marks.
The second project was to design a traveling exhibition that would visit design schools and universities with the final workshop results that were inspired on shoe shining and its nomadic character. The concept of the shoeshine boxes where used exhibit the work process of this exercise.
